Christmas Eve

After your journey relax and unwind in our superlative leisure spa facilities. Have a relaxing swim in our Roman style swimming pool, invigorate yourself in our aromatherapy steam room and sauna, and enjoy many soothing moments in our Jacuzzi. For those of you who are feeling a bit more energetic why not go for a quick workout in our gymnasium, which features on-board entertainment systems so you don’t need to worry about missing your favourite festive programmes!

Once you have settled in, enjoy late afternoon freshly ground coffee and mince pies by the open fire in Nelson’s Bar.

Early evening soak up the Christmas atmosphere in Nelson’s Bar with a complimentary pre-dinner drink and festive entertainment from our fantastic Barbershop Quartet. This will be followed by a three course meal in Ciro’s Brasserie. As Christmas Day is drawing ever so closer, take a little time out to relax in Nelson's Bar before attending the local church service followed by mulled wine or hot chocolate in the reception lobby.

Christmas Day

After a delicious full English breakfast why not take advantage of our excellent leisure spa facilities and work up an appetite for what’s to come! Alternatively, you may prefer to test your general knowledge in our exciting hotel quiz. With a great prize to be won this will be a guaranteed fun-filled event!

Now for the best part… a full traditional four course Christmas lunch, with a visit from Santa and gifts for all the children! The place of indulgence is The Grosvenor Suite at 12.30pm. In the afternoon, you can retire to Nelson’s Bar for the Queen’s speech followed by the usual Christmas television programmes! Or if you prefer, why not choose from our selection of board games to pass a few hours.

A light festive buffet will be served in the evening after which you can draw Christmas Day to an end with a fun filled evening of singing and dancing with our Resident DJ. A special prize will be awarded to the best singer of the Christmas break!

Boxing Day

Enjoy a leisurely full English breakfast in Ciro’s Brasserie and prepare for another eventful day!

Following a scrumptious carvery luncheon, why not discover the Roman city of Chester. Walk the Roman walls and visit the many Roman sites reflecting the great history of this exceptional city (tours can be arranged on request at an additional price, subject to availability). With its unique heritage, quaint pavement cafes, exclusive boutiques and international stores, Chester is certain to be an enjoyable day out.

For the shopaholics, it is the perfect opportunity to get out your credit card and hit the sales. With the choice of Broughton Retail Park, Cheshire Oaks McArthur Glen Designer Outlet, and not forgetting Chester City Centre, you are sure to come away with a bargain or two!

Alternatively, why not make use of our extensive and luxurious spa facility. Karma Spa has an array of treatments ranging from pure luxury to swift repair and revitalization. Spa treatments are at an additional cost and must be booked in advance. Please ask for details on our special Christmas spa packages.

On return to the hotel get ready to put on your glad rags and join the other hotel guests for an exciting evening on the tables and a farewell Boxing Day dinner at our fun filled Casino Evening. If casinos aren't your thing then you can dance the night away to a variety of music from our resident DJ before retiring to bed.
