"This hotel was recommended by a friend of my mother's.  We were uncertain as to what to expect as recommendations do not always meet up to expected standards.  However, I wanted to write to let you know that our expectations were well and truly met, and even surpassed.  There was absolutely nothing we could find fault with.Our room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, nice and warm and serviced on both days to the highest standards. The quality of the food in both the breakfast bar and in Nelson's was excellent and of the highest standard. We were very impressed with all your members of staff - without exception, they were all extremely pleasant  and terrifically efficient. It was nice to see a little bit of Britain which actually worked and maintained good old fashioned standards, the like of which seems generally to be in short supply these days! We will certainly be returning."

"Stayed here as part of a spa package for my 30th birthday. The rooms were lovely, beds were comfortable, staff very friendly and welcoming. The spa itself was clean, well run and so relaxing! "Loved every minute! Our room was ground floor via conservatory walkthrough - beautifully furnished, very modern! We chilled out in the pool before dining in Ciros - of which the food is beautiful, we sat to the right of the bar 'away from the main restaurant' by some lovely twinkly lights - very romantic. The following day we were pampered in what I can only describe as the most palatial spa ever, we had Hamman for 2, then I mini facial & hubby back massage - suffice to say we floated home! Perfect!"

"I had my Christmas party night in the Grosvenor Suite last night (19th) and just wanted to send a mail to say what a great night it was! The bar and room looked stunning, the staff were all dressed so smartly, the party accessories were a great extra. Take that 2 were amazing and all the other entertainment too. The whole evening was well worth the money and felt as if it should have cost more than it actually did. Overall a very classy fun night thank you, would definately book again next year."

"My husband and I booked a spa day and romantic package - dinner, bed & breakfast with Champagne and chocolates in your room. Our spa day began with an indian tea ritual, followed by full use of the leisure facilities, lunch in the spa's eatery (which was catered for by the hotel) and then our treatments. The staff were lovely, very helpful and encouraged a relaxed atmosphere at all times. We felt totaly relaxed and pampered. The food was declicous with prompt and cheerful service.

After our spa treatments we checked into the hotel. Again the staff were welcoming and cheerful. Our room was of a good standard, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed our champagne before going down to Ciro's for dinner. Here again the staff were welcoming and the service was prompt but unobtrusive. The food could not be faulted, we both enjoyed our choices which were to a very high standard.

Breakfast was excellent, buffet style, but very high quality food and again the staff were prompt and helpful.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be heading back for more indulgence when we get chance."

"The elegant Grosvenor Pulford Hotel is a large C18th traditional building, with a pretty front saloon/bar and a large italianate restaurant on the ground floor, surrounded by a few wings of 4star stylish hotel rooms. Certainly one of the best hotel we stayed at for our entire holiday in Britain, containing elegant bedrooms & bathrooms, a health club/”spa” with a giant romanesque pool, ample free parking. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family & intend to stay there again when next in Cheshire."

"My friend and myself stayed in your hotel on Sunday 3rd August and enjoyed your Spa Escape Package. We have been to many spas both in the UK and overseas and we are extremely fussy! We can honestly say that your Spa was the best we have ever visited and your hotel is superb. You are only half an hours drive from where we live but it felt like we were hundreds of miles away!! Your staff are excellent , your food is fabulous, the hotel is beautiful. We could not fault one thing - which is a rarity for us! Thank you - we will return asap!"

"I booked this break for 8 of us for my hen do. We stayed for the Friday and Saturday night and had a thoroughly brilliant time. The general ambience of the hotel was relaxed and classic. The bedrooms were spacious and in perfect condition. The food in Nelson's was good quality and plenty of it. The staff could not have done any more to help us. They went out of their way to book us a restaurant, organise taxis and anything we asked of them. The breakfast was plentiful and very well run. And the spa, well, perfect for the morning after the hen night before!
All in all I couldn't fault the entire experience!

"My partner and I have just returned from a three night weekend stay and enjoyed our time at the hotel very much. The whole of the hotel was well kept and tidy. The bedroom and its bathroom were both a good size, nicely decorated and very comfortable. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The bar was reasonably priced and was a nice relaxing environment. We ate in the restaurant on two evenings and the food on both occasions was lovely. Breakfast is served in the same restaurant and is buffet style, all of the hot food was fresh. We used the swimming pool etc on two occasions, the pool is of a decent size and overall the facilities were very good. The hotel is 5/10mins from the centre of Chester and is easily accessable by bus, with a stop a short walk from the hotel and a taxi back to the hotel after a days shopping cost us less than £10. In summary I would recommend this hotel with out question and we look forward to having another short break at the Grosvenor Pulford."
