On Sunday 6th September thousands of spectators are expected in Wrexham town centre to celebrate the Tour of Britain as it arrives in North Wales.
Wrexham town centre will host the finish of the first stage of the annual cycling event, approved by Wrexham’s Executive Board earlier on in the year.
Running from September 6th – 13th, the country’s largest annual free sporting event will bring in high levels of tourism and plans are already underway to prepare events that will coincide with the Tour of Britain and feed the enthusiasm of cycling fans and locals alike. There will also be full ITV coverage of the event between 1 and 4pm on the day.
The proposed route for the North Wales leg of the tour is Beaumaris, Llanberis, Betws y Coed, Ruthin, Denbigh, Mold and finishing on Chester Street in Wrexham.
