The excitement of planning a wedding is packed full of “yes”, right? Once you say the most important “yes” of your life, countless memorable moments follow. You’ve got the guy, now you need to pick your girls: your bridesmaids!
You’re on your way to creating some of the greatest memories of your life, so you’ll want to make sure your nearest and dearest are around you to share in your joy (and lend a hand, or a shoulder to cry on when the stress takes over)!
So, what is a bridesmaid proposal?
A bridesmaid proposal is a great way to get all your girls together, officially invite them into your bride squad and to set the tone for the big day ahead.
The lead-up to the wedding, whilst exciting and memorable, can also bring with it plenty of stress. It’s the perfect time to show your bridal party how much their presence on and leading up to your big day means to you.
A celebration to remember
Bride-to-be Jenny was determined to celebrate every step of her “I do” in style. She hosted an elegant evening meal in our stunning Palm Court restaurant with five of her closest friends.
“I fell in love with Palm Court when we came for my sister’s birthday,” Jenny told us, “it’s a beautiful atmosphere, perfect for an occasion like this. It’s so pretty with all the plants, chandeliers and lights.”
As a florist by trade, naturally Jenny chose to say it with flowers, created herself at her Chester shop. Her gorgeously girly choice of blush and cream roses was complemented beautifully by the marble table tops and lush greenery in Palm Court. The flowers also gave a hint as to the stunning style to expect on the big day itself, with Jenny choosing to use her wedding colour palette for the bouquets.
To invite each guest into team bride, Jenny compiled a beautiful, personalised gift box filled with sweet keepsakes.
“Inside the boxes I did fresh blush roses, being a florist I thought it would be quite apt. I also popped in blush Champagne miniatures, pink Champagne truffles, a personalised candle with a photo and the date of the wedding.”
Of her celebration, Jenny told us: “I really wanted to get the boxes made up to treat all the girls, I did them for my bridesmaids and mother of the bride and groom. I love making things so thought it would be fun and a lovely surprise for them. All the girls were thrilled and shocked when they saw them!”
Palm Court was the perfect location to for Jenny and her bridal party: equal parts glamour and comfort, the gorgeous garden room restaurant provides the opulence that a special occasion like this calls for. You’ll find as many stunning seasonal dishes on the menu as Instagrammable design features in the dining room itself!
