COVID-19 Latest Updates
Tuesday 24th March Update
To our valued customers and friends, it is with a very heavy heart that we officially announce our temporary closure following the Government’s announcement. Anyone who knows how passionate we are about our business will know this has been the most heart-breaking of situations for us; we live to serve our guests, that’s what we do and what we are here for. However, it goes without saying that the health and welfare of both our customers and staff must come above all else.
The closure currently applies to our restaurant, Palm Court, Nelson’s Bar and Spa by Kasia. We are offering a reduced number of our bedrooms on a room only basis to essential workers who require accommodation during this time.
Our world as we know it has been turned upside down and so we apologise for any delay in communication, our reservations team have been inundated with messages and calls. We can confirm that all guests who have made a booking up until the 30th April will have their booking cancelled. For any guests who have paid a deposit we will contact you to book a new date in due course and transfer your deposit.
We will be reviewing the situation constantly and if our closure is set to go beyond 30th April we will then contact further future bookings accordingly.
Our reservations team will be available by phone and email between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Alternatively you can keep in contact with us via social media.
We are so appreciative of your patience and understanding during this extremely unsettling and difficult time.
We very much look forward to welcoming you all back when the time is right. In the meantime, stay safe and take care!
Best Wishes from the Nelson Family and the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa Team
P.S. Please don’t let the closure of our beloved business be for nothing by socialising and gathering in crowds elsewhere, social distancing is critical to beat this virus and ensure that our normal life resumes. Our life and livelihoods are in each other’s hands so let’s all work together!
Tuesday 17th March Update
We would like to make all of our valued customers aware that for the time-being we are still open, and we thank you for your continued support.
We wanted to reach out to you during this uncertain and worrying time to reassure you that in addition to our usual high standards, we have introduced additional precautionary measures, developed in line with national health authority guidelines, to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous, so that we may to help control the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The safety of our guests and employees is of paramount importance to us. We will do everything that we can to ensure that our guests have a safe and pleasant visit. The cleaning process throughout our property has been reviewed to include additional deep cleaning measures and there is increased sanitisation of contact points such as door handles, push plates, lift buttons and all public area surfaces.
We are placing much importance on social distancing within all our restaurants and can assure guests of a minimum of 1.5m between each table. Should you have further specific requirements that we can adopt for your comfort and safety then please do let us know and we will endeavor to fulfill these.
This is a challenging time for our industry and so we politely urge all guests to book ahead where possible which means we can staff according to the business.
Likewise, should you be unable to make your booking, or if you are showing symptoms, then we would ask if you could let us know you wish to cancel so that so we can again plan our teams accordingly.
Advance reservations and notice of cancellations is ever so important to us in the current situation and it really will make a big difference.
We will remain vigilant and will work closely with the authorities for the health and safety of all our guests and staff, communicating the most up to date advice and measures to be taken.
Best wishes from the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa, we hope to see you soon.
